God’s family reaching up, reaching in, reaching out.

A Sample Chore Chart

Here is an example of a chore chart used for a family of eight children.

Each of the smile stickers represents a child. The children range in age from 14 years (dark blue sticker) to 4 years (beige sticker). As can be seen the younger children have less duties.

The chores are:

  • Clean Bathrooms (upstairs, basement, powder room)
  • Load and Empty Dishwasher
  • Dust and Vacuum (living room, study, dining room, office, halls, basement bedroom)
  • Garbage/Recycling
  • Kitchen Help
  • Broom Sweeping
  • Take Care of Cat
  • Laundry
  • Car Choice — a privilege, not a chore!

Chores change every week as shown. To keep track of the week, a small paper arrow with sticky tape on the back is used.
