Who Wants to Be a Hundredaire Quizzes
Here are three PowerPoint presentations that we used on the Sunday before Christmas
to teach the true story of Christmas. The presentations were designed to test people concerning what
they actually know about the story of the birth of Jesus. This encouraged people to go back and see
what the Bible really says (and DOESN'T say) about the birth of Christ.
Hundredaire? We were just too cheap to give away a million dollars, so we provided
$100 to contribute to any charity that the winner wanted. We decorated the sanctuary in "Who Wants
To Be a Millionaire" colors complete with stools, florescent tape, and flashing lights. Teams signed
up ahead of time.
The presentations include a 50/50 option. You should be able to use your mouse to
click on the 50/50 button and it will take you to a slide showing only two choices. For the "phone a
friend option" we actually had a phone. They could chose to talk to anyone in the congregation. An
usher took a cell phone to that person and then the contestant dialed the preprogrammed cell number.
People got a kick out of that.
Comments concerning the correct answers are included on the Notes window. Print off
a copy of the Notes Pages. I found that I had to do some teaching and explaining. Of course, that's
what I wanted to happen!
Now for the details of how to download and run these files:

You must have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer to view and use
these presentations. To save these files to your own disk, simply click on the file then choose
"save" or "save as."

The files are in ZIP format. If you don't know what that means click
here.

Download as many of the presentations as you want. Each is self-contained (except
for the sound files). The files are large, so if you have a slow connection, be patient!

Download the sound files and unzip them. Place them in a
directory entitled C:\My Music.

When you run the presentations use the space bar to move from slide to slide AND
to move the action along. For example, when you start the presentation, you get a blank, black
screen. Hit the space bar and this will start the intro screen. Hit it again and you move to the
next slide. Etc.
