God always tells the Truth and his Word can be trusted

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

OK, What does this mean for me?

You make your start by believing that God is telling you the truth. You've probably heard Christians say that the Bible is the Word of God. You must accept this if you want to get to first base. Remember, God cannot lie and has enough power to keep his Word uncorrupted even though it came through men.

Since he is God and he is telling you something important, it is only logical to do what God is asking of you.

In fact, these two principles work not only for salvation, but also throughout one's Christian walk after salvation.

Believe God and what he says.

Do what he asks.

What is the Plan of Salvation?

1. Realize you are a sinner (everyone is) and that you don't have a relationship with God because your sins haven't been forgiven.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...

2. Turn to God. Repent of (turn away from) your sins and ask God to forgive you.

Isaiah1:18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

3. Believe in your heart (make a deliberate decision to believe and act accordingly) that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins and that God raised him from the dead to show that his death for you completely paid your debt.

Romans 10:9-11 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

4. Ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord (the one whom you will now obey).

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Rejoice because you will never be the same!

False Salvation

You can't be saved by attending church regularly.
You can't be saved by believing in God. You must believe on Jesus Christ.
You can't be saved through religious activity.
You can't be saved by being a good person.
It is impossible to have any kind of relationship with God, if you don't come to him through faith in Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me..."
