Admonishment
Admonish - to caution against specific faults - to reprove mildly - to urge or
exhort
- Urge - to present, advocate, or demand earnestly or pressingly
- Exhort - to entice by argument or advice; urge strongly
What gives us the right/authority to admonish one another?
- Colossians 1:28 We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom,
so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
- Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and
admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs
with gratitude in your hearts to God.
- 1 Thessalonians 5:12 - Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard
among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you.
