God has called Amanda to make the hope of the gospel accessible to the marginalized Deaf community of Peru, who have no language and therefore no access to the truth of Jesus Christ. She is sent by her home church, New Life Community Church of Stafford, VA, and is partnering and serving with The Refuge of Hope in Pucallpa, Peru. She works with their Deaf Education program to bring language to deaf children in the community and, ultimately, to share the gospel with them. She also provides interpretation services to the Deaf instructors at the school, teaches Sign Language Classes to Hearing community members, and reaches out to the deaf adult community in Pucallpa.
